New info on the Iron Kingdoms Campaign Guides

I don't mind the wait. Privateer has a great track record of putting out great products, so if I have to wait for the first of two (likely) excellent books, then so be it. I have plenty of other mediocre books to read and use until then.

Been looking forward to the release of this book (now books) for a long time..... and once Christmas is out of the way and the dent in my bank account can heal itself come April I may even have the mullah for them :)

*Grump!*

While I am very much looking forward to these, I am also very disappointed for them being set back... again! I believe that the first projected release date was January of 2002, and frankly I am not sure how much I believe the current release date given the evidence of the past... Does the phrase 'before Christmas' ring any bells?

We'll see.
That's all, we will see...

The Auld Grump, grumping grumpily...

put me down in the "feh" category as well.

I'm sorry but if a couple of months ago they were saying they were ready to go for xmas, and now they have made a radical (Im sorry, doubling the page count and splitting it is pretty radical) change and expect to be able to turn it around in a couple of months? And they werent aware of this being a possibility then?

Hmph. Im sure it'll be high-quality.

Im sure it be a labour of love.

Im sure the world guide (which is more what I would be waiting for) will not be on time.

Im sorry, sometimes, you just have to close up a project, and put it out. If PP had put out a "basic guide" something resembling the original timeframe (jan 2002!!!! yeeesh), they would have been able to keep building a fanbase, and roll from there. And no, I dont mean the character primer. If I had bought the character primer, i would be feeling pretty ripped off by now.

I dont mean to be so negative, and I certainly dont wish to be viewed as attacking the crew at PP, but this has gotten beyond a joke.
