I'm as excited as the next guy for the RotK EE, but ah, I think you just might be overreacting just a wee bit.

I mean, is the announcement, whenever the annoucement is, really gonna make the DVDs come sooner!?

My info comes from a very good source on the comingsoon.com fourms. They person that posts the info is an insider and has always posted info there a month before it's made public, and he has always beeen right. Last month he was in NZ and saw RotK EE, posted a little review.

Still waiting for Halo 2. That had an original release date like Christmas, 2 years ago

Or Duke Nukum Forever, which has been like 5 or 6 years since they first annouced it (not that I'm waiting for it).

How about Half Life 2? the orginal date for that was Sept. 30, 2003.

Wow, you must have some impressive internal sources at New Line, what with your apparently complete knowledge of their manufacturing schedule (including the availability of manufacturing plants, artists and graphic designers), their shipping schedule (including warehousing and distributors), their seasonal announcement plans, their PR schedule (including how they work out releases for maximum sales), the status of every other project in-house that could affect the announcement, the health and family status of every involved employee, and copies of their project plans. It's good to hear that you know about all of that stuff, such that you can state with certainty that there's no reason for them to not tell us the date.

New Line orginally said they would announce the Return of the King EE DVD date on Friday, aug. 27., but now they said it won't be announced until the 30. :\ Whats the big deal? New Line, just tell us the date already? Why are you being so secretive with info this time? This time two years ago, we knew the date of FotR EE, a year ago, the date of TTT EE. Why are you dragging your ass this time, New Line?

You know. I initially thought your Thursday's post is a joke (Just got around to reading it today, Friday). But you seem genuine in your feelings.

Sorry, but it's old news for some time now. It has been pushed back down to Christmas 2004.

I know the DVD is not coming out until December, I just wish New Line would tell us the accual date it will be in stores already. No reason not to hold back the date anymore. I need to know what day to tell work I have my "Dr. appointment"
