Well, I'll get it because I enjoy your work and I like looking at the different ways writers tackle a subject. Have you had the opportunity to (or will you) look at the 3rd party stuff now that your writing on this topic has been completed?Mouseferatu said:That said, no, I didn't look at those books, either for details or even inspiration. So any history/canon that went into this book was strictly based off prior TSR/WotC material. However, I think you'll find that we didn't slavishly adhere to that either. As Whizbang pointed out, this book wouldn't have much of a market if we didn't provide some new material...
Though now that I think about it, when I write for my industry, I don't like it when I read something that addresses the same topic I wrote about... I can't help making comparisons.
