New Movies on the Way from Amazon - Which to Watch First?

Angel Tarragon

Dawn Dragon
Well, I just cam into some money and hunted for DVDs in the 'bargain' range at Amazon.com I've purchased 14 DVDs for $90, though I had a $20 rebate that I used and purchased the following:

Batman - Mystery of the Batwoman
Batman Beyond - The Movie
Dragon World
Dukes of Hazzard: Pilot TV Episode
Femalien
Kangaroo Jack
Little Mermaid
Little Shop of Horrors (Rick Moranis)
NeverEnding Story
Skeleton Man
The Screaming Skull
Touched by Evil
Werewolf of Washington (Dean Stockwell fan)
Zombie Chronicles

WOW! That is a quite a bit. Now, which order do I watch them in? :uhoh:

I'd probably do what I do with my comic book stash every week: rank-order them in what you think will be the worst to the best, and then watch them in that order. That way, each one (in theory) will be even better than the one you just finished.

I'm afraid I can't help you with the rank-ordering, though, as I've only seen one of the movies on your list (Little Mermaid), haven't even heard of quite a few of them, and couldn't be paid money to watch through several others (Dukes of Hazard, Kangaroo Jack).

Only one of those I've seen is Little Shop of Horrors and while funny, it's not a film I'd want to buy. I could certainly think of a lot better ways to have spent your $90 than to buy that lot. You're going to end up spending that much again on booze in order to be drunk enough to find most of those films even remotely entertaining.

Frukathka, did you get the Elvira's Movie Macabre version of Werewolf Of Washington? The Elvira discs are a lot of fun. I picked them all up. You should really check out Frankenstein's Castle of Freaks. One of my favorite bad movies. And how can you resist a Frankenstein movie with a caveman named "Ook" played by "Boris Lugosi"? :D

Anyway, I'd personally watch Mystery of the Batwoman, Werewolf of Washington, Little Mermaid, Screaming Skull, Batman Beyond, and then Neverending Story. No particular reason, that's just he way I watch it (although it does alternate between animation and live action).

I haven't seen the others, so I can't give you much help there. Well, I have seen Skeleton Man, but I'd never watch that again (and this is from a guy who loves a movie called Frankenstein's Castle of Freaks).

Hmmmm....

Dragon World
The pseudo-documentary from Animal Planet? It was OK, except for the framing story with the young scientist guy. The CGI dragon stuff is pretty cool. All in all, it makes a decent watch with your finger on the fast-forward button.

Femalien
Depends on how much you like fake breasts. See above regarding the fast-forward button.

Skeleton Man
Zombie Chronicles
Werewolf of Washington (Dean Stockwell fan)

Never heard of 'em. No opinion.

Dukes of Hazzard: Pilot TV Episode
Kangaroo Jack
Little Shop of Horrors (Rick Moranis)
NeverEnding Story
The Screaming Skull
Touched by Evil

These DVDs would be making pretty colors along the top of the logs in my fireplace.

Batman - Mystery of the Batwoman
Batman Beyond - The Movie
Little Mermaid

Animation. Ugh. See above. I may be the only comic book/D&D geek on earth who holds an abiding hatred of all things animated (and especially anime/'Japanimation' crap). I'd actually rather watch seven Joel Schumacher Batman -type flicks than the best-written, best-made animated anything you can ever point out to me.

Regards,
Darrell King
