These are new multi-classing rules that I made for viladin's Final Fantasy d20 Project over at http://ffd20.orgfree.com/phpBB2/index.php
I've included the Cleric feat path as a sample.
You can find feat paths for the other core classes in the Multi-Classing Feat Paths thread at the project site. Be sure to read the whole explanation text and compare the feats to other feats at their respective tiers before commenting.
To those of you who check out the site, the wizard feat path may be tweaked further.
These rules replace the core rulebook rules for multiclassing feats, power-swap feats, and paragon multi-classing.
A multi-class feat allows your character to gain access to the class features and powers of another class. You can only take multi-class feats for 1 class other than your own.
A multi-classing feat path is formed when you take two or more multi-class feats that have the same name, except for a number that denotes the order of the feat in the path. The first feat in the multi-classing feat path has no number, while the second feat in the order has the number 2, the third feat in the order has the number 3, and so on.
A feat path has up to 9 feats in its order. Each feat in the path after the 1st becomes available at every 4th level.
A character that has 1 multi-class feat counts as a member of the associated class for the purpose of fulfilling the requirements of feats.
A character that has 3 multi-class feats in the same feat path before 11th level counts as a member of the associated class for the purpose of fulfilling the requirements of paragon paths.
A character that has 7 multi-class feats in the same feat path before 21st level and has taken a paragon path for the class counts as a member of the associated class for the purpose of fulfilling the requirements of epic destinies.
Being able to use a class feature from the associated class as a result of taking a multi-class feat also qualifies you for taking a feat that has that class feature as a prerequisite.
Once taken, a multiclass feat can never be retrained.
Initiate of the Faith 2
[MULTICLASS CLERIC]
Prerequisite: Initiate of the Faith, 4th level
Benefit: You are now able to use one of the cleric's at-will powers once per encounter.
In addition, you can choose to swap one encounter attack power you know for one cleric encounter attack power of the same level or lower. When you gain a level after taking this feat, you can alter this choice. Treat this as if you are taking this feat for the first time, either picking a different power to swap for or swapping for a power to begin with. You can also swap the cleric encounter attack power you have for an encounter attack power of the same level or lower from your first class.
Initiate of the Faith 3
[MULTICLASS CLERIC]
Prerequisite: Initiate of the Faith 2, 8th level
Benefit: You increase your Wisdom score permanently by 1 point.
In addition, you can choose to swap one utility power you know for one cleric utility power of the same level or lower. When you gain a level after taking this feat, you can alter this choice. Treat this as if you are taking this feat for the first time, either picking a different power to swap for or swapping for a power to begin with. In addition, you can choose to swap one daily attack power you know for one cleric daily attack power of the same level or lower.
