New Multiplatform D&D Game

Hmmmn. S'nifty. I enjoyed crushing the BG: Dark Alliance games with my brother and D&D: Heroes with my wife. I could definitely see myself wasting a few pleasant hours with this.

Bonus points to it if it supports online multiplayer, and not just "we're all sitting around the same Xbox with controllers" multiplayer. If most of my D&D friends are in the same room, we best have our character sheets in front of us. ;)

Since it's an XBLA Arcade game (on the xbox at least) if it doesn't I'd be REALLY surprised...

And, of course, it's in The Realms.

I'd love to see a GTA-style D&D game set in Eberron's Sharn.

Yeah, you'd think that, and then there's this bizarre quote from the front page here at ENWorld (emphasis mine)...

Dungeons & Dragons Daggerdale centers on the desperate struggle to defeat the evil Rezlus and his Zhentarim in their attempt to invade and conquer the Dalelands. Dungeons & Dragons Daggerdale is an engaging multi-player experience that introduces a riveting narrative and treacherous new characters. Players are charged with the task of restoring order to Nentir Vale by unlocking the secrets of the Mines of Tethyamar, defeating the evil within the treacherous Tower of the Void, leading to the final confrontation with Rezlus himself.

Dalelands? Zhentarim? Nentir Vale?

I pray someone goofed writing up that front-page description. =/

Looking at the atari site for the game ( Atari Video Games ), it says on the sidebar:
"4 players online co-op" or "2 players local co-op"

So you could "couch it" with a friend, or play with 3 others online.

(or maybe some combination of the two? :) )
