Nothing wrong with dry. This is a game with classes named fighter, cleric and rogue... heck, I'd say that a name that was TOO exotic/flavoursome would be inappropriate in this context.

No, I meant exactly what I said. It wasn't at 30% then, and not 30% now. And for a name with as bad as "warlord", 30% is too much.Klaus said:You mean "look at the minority who think warlord is "fine".
30% of the voters so far think warlord is fine, but almost 70% think it's not, and suggest something else.
You know, Monte's batch of made-up exotic names for Arcana Unearthed was somewhat off-putting to me, but I'll take them over one that's utilitarian but lousy.Henry said:I would have said to ask Monte Cook for permission to call it "Warmain." That name works even better for me.![]()
Really? Personally, I think it's great that there are people who fight the Taliban.hong said:And if we're going to get into negative connotations, every time I see a news article about "Taliban fighters", my inner D&D geek dies a little more.

Really would have to know what the buggers do first.
I mean... do they actually order people around, or are they just buff bots...?
I think the main thing is that the term "lord" is waaaaay too strong.
But then the overall notion of a "leader class role" bugs me.
Take bards. They weren't always leaders. Sometimes they were more like cheerleaders or enablers or some such. The people in the group who go "Oh hey guys come on you can do it you can totally win yeah we're the greatest!"
