I'm very much on the fence about the Jade Regent adventure path. I'll wait until it is released to skim through it, before deciding whether to buy into the adventure path. (In the past, I was never really a huge fan of "Oriental Adventures" from the 1E AD&D days).

The Carrion Crown adventure path so far doesn't interest me, from reading the player's guide and the blurbs for the individual AP books. Though I will take a look at the first Carrion Crown book, to see whether it changes my mind.

Interesting that they are starting the Jade Regent AP in Sandpoint and having the players travel to Tian Xia. I assume that means the players will be foreigners throughout the game.

Not necessarily. The Free RPG Day offering from Paizo is a first level adventure involving goblins and fireworks that can be used as a lead in to the Jade Regent AP. Where did the goblins GET the fireworks? Merchants? Traveling shows?
