Cool stuff.

The most interesting thing (I thought) was that the enemies really didn't have small piles of +1 equipment.

The second most interesting was that the evil sorceror was apparently able to polymorph into a firesnake, which sounds nifty. Perhaps 4e has a polymorph spell that lets you turn into a creature of the appropriate level...provided that creature is within line of sight to you. It'd be interesting.

The third most interesting thing involved the "making enemies attack each other" thing that the gnome warlock was doing. Perhaps that's a new variant of Suggestion/Dominate.

Warlock build confirmed. Nothing about it being in PHBI.

It also confirms that the Warblade isn't a direct copy of the new Fighter, or any other class for that matter. So Tome of Battle is still an early draft of 4th Edition.

Hmm... wonder what that means. Could this be some sort of "cleave" for spellcasters, or might it simply mean that blasting an injured foe causes that foe to take extra damage.

I'm thinking that will be a Striker feature. Picking off the wounded sounds like a Rogue/Ranger kind of thing to do. Likely part of the role and therefore any class associated with it.

QFTFT. ;)

But then again, my experience suggests that the same holds true no matter how you fill in the sentence.

"Turns out that even if you’re a (noun), and even if you’re (adjective/other descriptor), adventurers will still kill you."

It's always gonna be true. ;)

Yep. That's been true at my table.
