Warlock and Sorcerer confirmed, along with the Big Four. But yeah, no word if they'll all be in the PH1...

Clearly not necessarily in the PHB since we have both a warforged and a gnome.

It took you two posts of typing "warlock confirmed" to get that the warlock was confirmed. You might need to get off the boards and catch some shut eye.

Anyone else find it odd that despite it being said that we'd be better off starting over rather than trying to convert our current games to 4E they're playtesting by converting their current game to 4E?

How do you think they figured it out?

Seriously, look at what they did. It was at best an "inspired by" campaign.

Naw, it's just that I was pretty much thinking at this point that the Sorcerer would likely get to kill the Warlock and take it's stuff. Now we know otherwise

I think that might be a chicken and egg scenario. They might not recommend converting because of their experience in the playtest. Plus they are playing with rules that will not be in first iteration of Core. It makes conversion easier.

Not necessarily. If the 4e sorcerer is warlock-like enough, the 'warlock' vs. 'sorcerer' dichotomy might well become a matter of talent trees. In fact, I'd almost bet on it.

I'm sure they figured it out quite some time ago. Not that I'm particularly bothered by it; it was merely an observation. If the reports themselves weren't so vague and insubstantial I probably wouldn't even have commented on that aspect of it. I certainly hope they develop into something a little meatier for us to chew on.

Excellent report!

But I'm not sure it means that Warlock is a class. He played a warlock, as Bruce Cordell played a psion. But maybe he used Sorcerer class as Mr. Cordell used Wizard class for his PC.

So I guess no warlock confirmation yet...
