New Playtest up...

Excellent report!

But I'm not sure it means that Warlock is a class. He played a warlock, as Bruce Cordell played a psion. But maybe he used Sorcerer class as Mr. Cordell used Wizard class for his PC.

So I guess no warlock confirmation yet...

Except that in the first playtest report he used scare quotes ("") then commented that he was using scare quotes, and why he was using scare quotes.

So no, it's not the same. This is the first time an official statement or release has been made indicating that there is a build for the Warlock.

Question: Anyone know why WotC requires signing up for the D&D Insider just to see anything posted on the site, even though there's no monthly fee for the Digital Initiative yet?

So you sign up now and they don't get a rush the first day that crashes the site?

1.Content viewing control.
2.Seeking new (& possibly old) members, to intice them, in buying their products.

I can't access the main home page, just some articles, including this one.
Anyone else with the same issue?
I've had it all load, but there has been a long delay (30 seconds?) between the page loading and the article list loading. The very bottom isn't loading at all.

I fervently hope that Warforged will not be a core race. Don't want tos tart a pro/contra warforged thread. I just find them to far removed from the standard fantasy scenarios. they also do not fit in a lot of campaign settings (FR or Greyhawk with Wraforged?).
But, "panta rei" and all that, so there is still hope.

I don't believe that this is a confirmation for the warlock, it seems to me that he only referenced to his character (he didn't write us a name just that he was a warlock).

I hope that the vast majority of their playtesting is being done with newly created characters.

3.5 characters cloned into 4th ed will probably play differently than straight up 4th ed characters. Especially given the WOTC employee tendency to play underpowered race/class combos.
