New Project: Druidic Observatory

With apologies to the ENWorld user who originally posted his pics for a project that was building as well. It was too good of an idea and I ran with it:

s640x480

It is based on the observatory shown in the Eberron Campaign Book, page 171.

No apologies needed. Besides I can't totally claim dibs on the idea because my inspiration was the same as yours.

That is a fantastic build. I love the addition of the runes, very well done.

Thanks, man. I couldn't find your original topic. Did it scroll off or am I totalling missing it?

Did you finish yours, BTW?

I think it scrolled off. No, I haven't had a chance to finish it due to other projects, including the ENWorld Sculpting Challenge.

I hope to have enough time after the Thanksgiving Holiday to finish it off.

Yours looks fantastic though, very cool.

Very nice. The hill is nicely done too. I like the switchback trail and the rock textures.

Of course, I'm always happy to see the chainmail gnolls make an appearance, I love those guys!

Scorch,
that's as impressive as heck! I can see the scale of the piece because of the nice mini's you've posted, but how big is it on the table?

I'd love one on my game table.

Heh, I thought they were the best sculpts of gnolls, EVAH!

I still get a little nostalgic when I crack open a DnD minis box and take out a mini and say: "You know, I got this in it's Chainmail version..."

Roughly 12" in diameter. Circular in shape.

I'd love to use it in a game as well. Right now it is sitting in a display case in my dining room since I ran out of room in the cases in the basement.

I like it, great work. Though i can't escape the feeling the feeling of the peice being a little small . I can understand designing for the space that you have, but it looks like large minis will have difficulties on that terrain piece. Or was that intentional ;)?

I still have to say great work.
