New Ptolus high-level preview posted

Monte just posted two more Ptolus previews:

* Into Jabbel Shammar

Given that Jabbel Shammar is one of two higher-level areas in (or, rather, above) Ptolus, it probably would be wise for future Ptolus players to skip both previews.

That's interesting. The part on Jabel Shammar coming back in every single of Monte's campaigns made me think of my own Sloshed Cat inn. I also have characters and supernatural entities that defy the planes and multiverses and are referred to in multiple, completely different games of mine too.

This is something most DMs develop over time, I guess, like a particular "style" akin to writers and novelists. I think that's really cool, personally, not only for the DM, but for players who appreciate these things too.

I haven't played Return to the Temple of Elemental Evil; how was the counterpart to Jabel Shammar used there?

The ending was teasingly abrupt; "a particuarly devout cleric or paladin may get a modifer as high as". Made me try and flip to the next page and get very frustrated when I couldn't.

Ha, that's how I felt about the previews of Dwarvenhearth and the Street of One Million Gods.
