First Post
Hello everybody, I'm french, so I apologize for my poor english in this message.:erm:

I converted typicals races for D&D3.5, especially for using in the Laelith campaign sitting described in the Casus Belli Magazine (but this races can easilly played in others campaign sitting) :

Felys, like à cat-man.
Zadulien & Huvalinien : psionic and very anciant races.
Chupl'z : mercantile and psionic race.
Gopneldaun, like a milk-shake of elf, gnome, dwarf...
Utruz, like a fish-man who venere "Those who can't named" (like Cthulhu:D)
Arachnien : a black man come from an accouplement of man and giant spider.

And others...

The abilities is completed by a rich text contenu to playing this race with a certain roleplay. (:confused:do you understand me ?:-S)

Thanks to follow this link to view the site and thanks for your commentary about this races :

First, welcome to the boards!

Second:

I followed your link, and I have just enough French from my Louisiana heritage to recognize what I'm looking at, but not actually be able to fully translate.:erm:

However, I think you might get some help refining these races:

1) Looking at Dragon Compendium volume 1 (DCv1) for your Felys- there is a cat-like race in that book.

2) Arachnien remind me of the Drow in flavor- check out the Monster Manual. Drow, though, are much longer lived and have a long-term link to the demoness Lolth.

3) Utruz seem to be similar to races like the Kuo-Toans, Locathah and Sahuagin. See the Monster Manual.

4) The rest- Zadulien, Huvalinien, Chupl'z and Gopneldaun escape me somewhat. Going through the Expanded Psionic Handbook, Complete Psionic, and Eberron setting from WotC and Hyperconscious by Bruce Cordell (writer of the Expanded Psionic Handbook) from Malhavoc should give you some good ideas for your psionic races.

This races are the typicals races of Laelith and they are very différent as the races of drows for the arachniens for example, and very different than sahuagins or kuo toa for the utruz.

The texte that describe those races can learn about this fabulous races, with a large background and community (sorry for my english:blush:).

Enjoy !:)

I realize that they are different- I was thinking less in terms of flavor- their backgrounds & histories- and more in terms game mechanics. Taking a closer look at the sources I cited may give you better insight as to how to make your races play the way you want them to play.

BTW, don't apologize too much for your English- its better than my French!
