after having been out several months, how is the game (as a whole) holding up to interest ? Or has it seemed to wane with your players after a handful of run throughs?

i've had my eye on it for a while (since i like cooperative games that have mutable boards for replayability and situations), just haven't been sure yet. though, oddly, someone offered to get it for me as a delayed gift if i really wanted it.

My friends and I are still playing it, and awaiting the new Ashardalon game coming out.

It's pretty fun. Some odd rules wordings make it so some missions you have to check boardgamegeek to see what's going on, but nothing absolutely terrible.
