Arabian Adventures 3E, while a very interesting idea, is unlikely for the time being. Maybe in a few years.

but i want it NOW!!!

Seriously, I think that this would eb a really good book to do in the vien of OA, with options for a whole range of Arabian Campaigns (of course, traditionally in Europe Oriental refred to The Middle East and India, not the Far east of China and Japan, so this would have been the real Oriental Adventures book in a Middle Ages Europe sense, but thats a different topic.)

With OA they had a segue setting (Rokugan) and established fanbase to leverage (L5R), as well as the promise of ongoing support from AEG. There is nothing comparable for an Arabian Adventures book that I am aware of.

That's not to say that it wouldn't be cool, particularly if they did as good a job with it as they did with OA (one of the best WotC books to date, IMO).

sure, and i understand this. There is also a fan base for al-quadim tho.

Anyway, not saying it's GOING to happen, just that i wish it would.

Why is UA a given?

Because of the idea, a generic add-on, with lots of miscellaneous stuff. Rather like a hardcover Dragon without the ads and fiction. To my understanding, it sold well when it was originally released, and they haven't yet done a book like this for 3E. They will come up with it sooner or later.

Unearthed Arcana - Monte can put out Arcana Unearthed all he wants, it still won't be Unearthed Arcana. It was an incredibly popular title. They would be foolish not to use it.
I honestly don't see how they could release such a book, since the core rulebooks have incorporated a lot of stuff from that, from barbarian class to hopefully a cavalier and acrobat prestige classes. The core rulebook already contain rules for 0-level spells.

Savage Species, Races of Faerun, Forgotten Realms Campaign Sourcebook, and the upcoming Revised Monster Manual, will allow us to play unusual sub-races of nonhumans.

I mean what else is there in UA that need to be updated?

Agreed -- along with Planescape, Dark Sun, Dragonlance, etc. I just think that the other factors that came into play with OA made it the most viable candidate, and the absence of those factors in the case of AA makes it less likely to come about. Just my 2cp.

With the exception of Dragonlance (Wizards will publish it this summer), I would think that several third-party publishers would acquire the right to publish TSR/Wizards' IPs. Then again, perhaps they're doing one IP at a time (this year, it's DL).

It just seems like Dragon already fills that niche; perhaps it could be done as some sort of Dragon compilation. I wonder how well other products in the same vein (like AEG's Mercenaries) sold, and how much of a factor that would be.
