3PP Release New Release: Single-Class Synergy, Volume 3: Higher Callings

I heard a podcast from Sly Flourish in which he made a passing remark about how City of Arches was 5E compatible against all the big 4 (TOV, 2014, 2024, A5E), but he made a stray comment that he had slightly more pulled from A5E while creating it. It got me thinking that while technically everything that is 5E compatible is A5E compatible by default, that if the author doesn't list it that way on drivethru then searching by that tag will miss a lot of great stuff that might be perfectly in-line with A5E. I actually don't know why all authors of 5E compatible resources don't triple-label them (tag: 5e-compatible, Level Up: Advanced 5th Edition, Black Flag Roleplaying) as Jaded Paths House did with the recent "Mis-spells, Crap-Cantrips and the Wizard's Wager"

I'll also make a plea to all content creators to mark clearly on their products if they are included in another product. I almost went and bought Hymn of the Harpies separately before realizing that the info contained in it was folded in and included in the Manual of Adventurous Resources: Complete. It was marked on the sales page for MOAR: Complete, but it wasn't mentioned on the sales page as Hymn of the Hinterlands. As a customer who wants to have the complete A5E collection (because I think it's the best of the big 4, even if I'm going to change things up by including stuff from the other 3 and other supplements, like using Nimble 5E's combat), nothing would frustrate and enrage me more than being 'got' by buying the same material twice. I'm also realizing for the first time, reading more closely, that all the Thematic Toolkits are separate from everything else, and I initially avoided getting them since I thought they were folded into the MOAR: Complete; this is my own stupid reading comprehension fail, but MOAR and Thematic Toolkits are totally separate from each other. Maybe they'll be a compendium of all the Thematic Toolkits too at some point? I don't mean this as some sort of harsh criticism at all, just a gentle request from a good customer, and not aimed solely at any one content creator, but a plea to all content creators to avoid ostracizing your returning customers by making things as clear as possible.

There will not be a compendium of the Thematic Toolkits, but they are being gradually absorbed by the Multiclasser's Manual line.

Right now, this is the list of smaller products absorbed into larger ones for PMG. You'll need to ask other creators for their own lists.

MoAR Complete:
  • MoAR Wilderness
  • MoAR Intrigue
  • MoAR Light & Dark
  • MoAR Battlemages
  • MoAR Elements
  • Hymn of the Hinterlands: The Harpy Heritage*
*Hymn of the Hinterlands is Josh Gentry's release; it's the only thing from another publisher that's been fully incorporated into a PMG release.

Multiclasser's Manual, Volume 1:
  • Arcane Sniper
  • Confidence Mage
  • Field Agent
  • Fiery Justice
  • Mortalist
  • Spiritualist
  • Thematic Toolkit: Venomous Shadow
Multiclasser's Manual, Volume 2:
  • Thematic Toolkit: Arcane Avenger
  • Thematic Toolkit: Cultist
  • Thematic Toolkit: Scrapper
  • Thematic Toolkit: Judge, Jury, and Executioner
(These lists are also on the product pages for the larger releases)

The Forgotten Vault: Unlocked (upcoming):
  • Spells from the Forgotten Vault
  • Utility Spells Redux

Also, just to address the natural follow-up question of "okay, what else is going to go into a future collection, and when?" I don't have firm answers for that. PMG is very much a side hustle to me, and I generally start doing my planning in earnest for a large release a short while after finishing the last large release. If I'm really feeling ambitious, I might plan two releases out. I also am usually much more interested in the new stuff and plan that first; incorporation of old material comes later in the process and going forward, I can say with confidence that old material will always been less than half of a large release like a Multiclasser's Manual or Forgotten Vault product.

One other thing I can tell you with near-certainty is that System Architecture: Motif Classes isn't going to be rolled into anything else. It was a three-way collaboration and I don't want to deal with the math for the royalty sharing on that if it were to be absorbed into something bigger. It might get a visual upgrade one of these days (I have gotten a lot better at graphic design since January of 2023!), though - but if that happens, existing customers will get the new PDF for free in their downloads.

Other smaller releases like this line, Sinuous Sentinels, and even Benefactors & Guardians? Those might wind up added to something bigger someday, in whole or in part, but I make no promises as to when, what else anything will be rolled in with, what it will cost, etc. I tend to put together new product ideas based on what I'm interested in or (sometimes) what I can see a tangible demand for. Neither of those are things I can really anticipate very far in advance.

Thank you for taking the time to list that all out. I was trying to pinpoint what supplements for A5E I'm lacking but I completely forgot to check what was included in the two Multiclasser's volumes. As far as I can tell then, the only things I'm lacking are several of the Thematic Toolkits: Carry the Darkness, Burning Gloom, Folk of the Court, Itinerant, Hazardous Knowledge, Master of Ceremonies, and Storyteller. And they're all in my cart right now :)

Don't forget, you can always check the datasheet: A5e Datasheet
