New Season Breakdown: CBS

Good news: The Unit and NCIS are coming back next season.

Better [but old] news: Threshold remains cancelled.

The only new genre show I see is Jericho, a post-apoc drama.

Jeri Ryans -- who was on the season finale's Boston Legal kissing Kirk, err Denny Crane -- will be on CBS starring alongside James Wood in Shark. Yes, another legal drama.

I'm sure I'm not CBS's prime audience, but only Jericho interests me in the least, and that could be easily fixed after an episode or two. Of course, that's one more than last year.

I bring this up only because I truly find it weird: how could they not have one show I was interested in?

Not sure if you've seen The Unit yet, but it's a pretty good show that seems to cover more ground than I thought it would have. The storyline with the wives in the forefront towards the end of the season was as interesting as the main story's with the guys various missions. Mind you, I'm an action guy all the way, but I found these other stories just as interesting.

Sounds good. I'm a fan of NCIS, CSI (Las Vegas only), and Without a Trace. (I'd like to watch The Unit, but Scrubs comes first for me.)

I'm definitely interested in Jericho, if it's on at a good time. I'm a sucker for post-apoc stuff.

... though apparently without Gibbs. Which makes the Tony's-in-charge episodes late this season more logical, but still...
