New Staff Reviewer (pdf's only)

Just so I'm clear, will the other reviewers only be reviewing print products from now on or is the dividing line not quite so clear?

I wasn't aware of this move so I'm not quite sure what the intention was, but I will continue to review Malhavoc PDF's so long as you continue to send them to me. So I would read that as "Crothian will be reviewing only PDFs" not "Only Crothian will be reviewing PDFs."

Yup, that is the case. The idea is to increase the number of PDF reviews (especially staff PDF reviews) and give them a little more time in the spotlight.

Crothian,

Congrats! I just sent you an e-mail about our new product, Last Rites. Let me know here if you don't get it.

Congrats, Crothian! Well-deserved, indeed. Will you continue to do some print reviews, too? If not, that will be too bad. :( Anyhow, let us know how the PDF reviewing goes. :)

I may, but it would be a very slect few as pdfs are now going to be my main focus.

This is going to sound weird, but...

Are you reviewing fan-based .pdf stuff? I.e., not being sold but available for free on the Internet?

I figured it can't hurt to ask. :)

As far as I know, the review section can only list products that have a publisher. But I have no problem with reviewing free things.

Other pdf reviewers

I thought it might be an idea to let pdf publishers know that Crothian isn't the only pdf reviewer available on this wonderful tool we call the Internet.

I have been doing nearly exclusively pdf reviews at d20 Magazine Rack (under my real name Duane Nutley) for about 6 months now and am also a reviewer at Mortality.net (username maransreth). For d20 Magazine Rack I review whatever Ghostwind passes my way. Recently for Mortality.net I have started reviewing not-as-well-known pdfs that I have purchased from RPGnow.com.

The reviewers on d20 M.R. also review pdfs but they mainly focus on print material that they are sent.

So if publishers wish to see more reviews of their products there are options out there. I can be contacted at maransreth@optusnet.com.au or contact the webmaster of some of the better known review sites (GamingReport.com, GameWyrd, RPGnet.com as well as Mortality.net and d20 M.R.) and see if they have a staff member willing to add pdf products to what they review or solely review pdf products. Please remember though that we do have other products to review and it might take a bit to get your review out depending on the backlog we have. :D
