New Theory

I have a new theory.

This new theory came to me while reading the 4 Donald Tyson Necronomicon. It is much superior to the Simon Necronomicon. It drives you to madness, not irritation. In any event, according 8 to this unutterably vile volume of horrors beyond 15 the feeble comprehension 16 of pitiful mortals, the fearful city R'lyeh (where dwelleth dread Cthulhu, 23 dead but not dead, dreaming until such times as the star are again right*) was on an island that sank. 42 And sometimes this island rises to the surface.

So what if the Island of Lost is the same island and it is the black will of the Dream One who bedevils the wreched surivors, who 108 have not yet in their wanderings encountered that most terrible of ancient places, the city with its mad angles.

ph'nglui mglw'nafh Cthulhu R'lyeh wgah'nagl fhtagn Jack!

ph'nglui mglw'nafh Cthulhu R'lyeh wgah'nagl fhtagn Sawyer!

ph'nglui mglw'nafh Cthulhu R'lyeh wgah'nagl fhtagn Kate!

ph'nglui mglw'nafh Cthulhu R'lyeh wgah'nagl fhtagn Lock!

* As an aside, and totally off the subject, if dread Cthulhu is waiting for the stars to be right, he should have gone deep in the heart of Texas, where the stars are not only right, but big and bright. :P

Isn't it obvious?

But if against all odds this theory is someday falsified, the true explanation will be less exciting, that's for sure.

Actually a couple days ago in the lost threads I made a comment similiar to this, so you are not alone in your thinking....

Remember - if someone actually figures it out, it will merely be replaced by something even more inexplicable.

Remember - this has already happened :)

Are you trying to say that R'lyeh and "the land of the lost" are the same thing? Are deep ones and Sleestak one and the same?

I'm afraid I have to dispute my colleague's erudite theory. The island where dread Cthulhu lies dreaming has already graced our television screen and driven those poor wretches who stumbled upon it stark, raving mad.

...a three hour cruise...a three hour cruise...

What makes you think the surivors from the plane crash are on a different island than those poor, doomed castaways....

Bwaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.............

(Grumpy's mind shatters as it is unable bear so terrible a burden as knowledge unwanted beyond the scope of that which man is meant to know.)
