Grrrr.

They're putting Heroes up against 24. Wouldn't somebody think that this is the exact wrong slot to place it in? Only thing worse would be to put it against Lost.

But the goal of Hollywood isn't to maximise ratings, rather it is to make your competion fail. The reason that both Hot Shows and Genre shows are put up against each other is so that thier network can prove it is better than the others. The other reason to put a show against something that is succeeding is to backhandly get something canceled that you don't like anyway (see Fox for the worst offences).

TV really needs to get an all-geek hour during the week, where ABC shows Lost, CW shows Veronica Mars, NBC shows Heroes, Fox shows 24, and CBS shows whatever new geek show they have lined up... If all 5 shows that geeks watch are on at the same time... think of the sales of extra TVs and Tivos!!!!

You're assuming someone at the network thinks it's going to succeed.

Nice to see that NBC's not falling into any ruts, though.

STUDIO 60 ON THE SUNSET STRIP
Emmy Award-winning executive producer-writer Aaron Sorkin ("The West Wing") and Emmy Award-winning executive producer-director Thomas Schlamme ("The West Wing") return to television with this crackling take on the drama behind the humor of producing a popular, late-night comedy sketch show, "Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip."

30 ROCK
Emmy Award winner Tina Fey (NBC's "Saturday Night Live," "Mean Girls") writes, executive-produces and stars in this workplace comedy that takes viewers behind the scenes of a frenetic television variety show.

I'm waiting for the scintillating look behind the humor of the drama of the making of a variety-slash-sketch show.

Both of which, I'd guess, are going to do a whole lot of ripping off of The Larry Sanders Show (truly genius stuff, that).

But I'll be watching Studio 60, 'cause I loves me my A Few Good Men/Sports Night/West Wing Aaron Sorkin. Oh, and Tna Fey is hot. :)
