New weapon?

How would you design a weapon based upon my key chain shown here? Or is it possible at all to do so?
Would it work better as a exotic weapon for 3.5 dnd?

In terms of stats? You're swinging around a light chain with small, blunt objects affixed to it. Standard unarmed damage I'd guess.

You could include some piercing objects on it or some slashing objects(keys) to it if you wanted.(I guess)

Even if you sharpened the keys they aren't aligned. At the very best you may deal superficial cuts. You might get lucky if you hit an opponent in the eye, but if you hit someone in the eye with anything, they will recoil.

If you're looking for chain weapons in D&D, you could count a longish one as a whip, or one with a heavy weight on the end as a flail.
