New Years Resolution Thread

Continue exercising: I'm 5'10" and 180lb. I'm down from 202lb (that was around March when I started exercising). Getting into shape is a important priority for me. I like being able to run up stairs without getting winded.

Parkour: On hold until the snow melts (Canadian winters :( ) but I plan on getting back into free-running as soon as possible. In the mean while I'll use the gymnastics equipment at my University.

Finish writing the Legacy campaign setting and actually run a game in it: Just a setting I'm working on slowly.

Ask out this girl: I like her, she likes me. She's a big LotR fan, as well as Unreal Tournament and D&D :D

I noticed a couple people wanted to find a date in the new year. I highly recommend OKCupid. It's free, and it's where I met my BF of almost two and a half years, Awayfarer. :)

Not making any New Year's resolutions. They just don't work for me. After January I've completely forgotten about them.

I've tried that (I think you recommended it here a few months ago, too)- same results pretty much as in real life - teased by college kids, harassed by 40-50 year old married women.

Thanks for the advice, Nyaricus. I wasn't planing on using weights but I might borrow my dads.... I have been doing crunches and press ups till now.
Weights are nifty, and are good for getting some musle on you, and then toning up as well. Glad I could be of assistance :)

cheers,

Well at first I was thinking that I would resolve not to make any resolutions since I never seem to keep them. But then I realized that was simply self defeating. So here is what I've come up with:

1) Keep loosing weight - this time last year I barley fit into a 48 inch waiste now I'm a loose in a 40 inch waist. I want to get down to a 36 inch waist. I refuse to use scales so waist size is how I judge weight loss.

2) Quite Smoking - Last year I wanted to cut down and I've gone from almost 2 packs a day down two 1/4 - 1/2 a pack a day. No I'd like to do away with that.

3) Start Grad School - pretty much everything is in place just have to get them my transcripts and get the funding in order. I'm supposed to start 4-30. I'll be working on my MSCS

4) Write an entire adventure arch for levels 1 - 20 that is a thiefs campaign taking place in a city. I'm about half-way through the first adventure.

5) Get #4 published
