Pathfinder 1E Newbie Pathfinder question

On the topic of using 3.5 stuff in Pathfinder. You can and I do all the time. But it requires you to know the Pathfinder rules pretty well and be ready to tweak the 3.5 stuff ahead of time and sometimes after you started using the stuff.

For someone new to Pathfinder I would recommend buying the books, picking up a adventure path made for Pathfinder and run it from start to finish. After that I think you will know the rules plenty well enough to start adding 3.5 stuff that you like for your next campaign.

Anyways that would be my advice on that.

Thank you :) That's what I'm planning do. I'm going pure Pathfinder until I know the rules really well. Carrion Crown looks good, but I'm also considering Kingmaker based on the recommendation of others.

Thanks again for all the replies. I appreciate it.

So here I am, a new Pathfinder gamer. Actually, I never thought that would happen, but after looking closely at the game I felt that feeling of excitment that I haven't felt in a while.

I ended up buying:
PF Core Rulebook
PF Bestiary
PF Gamemastery Guide
PF Advance Player's Guide

and just to taste the campaign setting:
PF World Guide: The Inner Sea (Revised)

I can't wait until the books arrive. Thanks again for all the advice!

Excellent choices. With that initial purchase you have a very solid start into the Pathfinder world of gaming and plenty of resources to draw from.

Both are good, but they are different and you may find one works better than the other.
Kingmaker is a very sandbox style adventure. Meaning there is lots to do but for the most part the PC's can go where and when they want.
Carrion Crown is a lot more liner and story based. At times it might require some gentle nudge to keep the players on track but it is a pretty straight forward adventure path.

I bring this up, because I don't know how much GMing experience you have and a lot of GM's find sandbox adventures harder to run, cause they are harder to plan for. So just wanted to point out their differences. They are both very good and might be worth running one and then the second one as your test bed for adding 3.5 stuff after it.
