PHBII is used already, even though we are just starting one campaign, and are at first level in another. Same with Dragon Magic and Complete Mage.

I'll be playing a sword sage in one campaign, assuming we ever get rolling. Lots of flavor opportunities in that class, some great abilities, but man, if you go more than a few rounds of combat, you could be in trouble.

edit: oh, and RHOD is coming up soon as a challenge, and we certainly use the tiles in every single session.

I'm using a bunch of PHBII stuff and will soon be using stuff from Complete Mage. I don't get to play as often as I'd like, so it's hard to take advantage of new material sometimes. My current character was built around obtaining a prestige class in Complete Warrior, so I don't really have open feat slots to use for stuff from the new books.

I'm 99% sure that I'll be using a reserve feat in the future (barring character death).

What about a fighter specalizing in missile weapons? (Yeah, then you have the Bloodstorm thrower or whatever it was called...)

The 'Thrower isn't a missile weapon user. It can only throw its weapon a very short distance. What the class *actually* does is allow the PC to Cleave even when someone isn't adjacent. :D

Cheers!

Here we go... the list of Wizards books this year and what use that my groups and I have made of them.

January 2006

Player's Guide to Eberron - I bought it, thought it looked neat, but it has been languishing on my shelf since then, despite running Mark of Heroes and Xen'drik Expeditions.
Races of the Dragon - Bought it, it looked neat, and will probably get used a lot in my next personal campaign, but otherwise it is sitting on the shelf.

February 2006

Red Hand of Doom - After much anticipation, I started DMing this last Friday. The next session is tomorrow. Yay!

March 2006

Power of Faerun - my first non-adventure FR purchase since 2001. I bought it for the advice on running high-level campaigns, but I'm very disappointed with this book. Too much generalities and not enough specific on constructing adventures for those games.
Tome of Magic - still don't own this

April 2006

Fantastic Locations: Fields of Ruin - I haven't used the adventure portion, but the maps have been the most useful from a FL product so far; the road is great, and the ruined keep has also made a few appearances.
Complete Psionic - We've been using several of the extra material for the soulknife (which is very good).

May 2006

Player's Handbook II - we've made extensive use of this book; especially the alternative class features, feats and spells. Great, great book.

June 2006

Mysteries of the Moonsea - don't own this one.
Fiendish Codex I: Hordes of the Abyss - own it, but I'm not a fan of the series of monster-type books. No use so far.

July 2006

Fantastic Locations: Dragondown Grotto - own it; haven't used the adventure, but the maps are very nice and have seen use in several sessions.
Secrets of Xen'drik - own it; I really like this book, but haven't used material from it yet.
Monster Manual IV - own it; I love this book. I've used several of the new monsters from it, and will be using more.

August 2006

D&D Dungeon Tiles - own two sets; and have been using them quite a bit.
Dragons of Faerun - don't own it.
Tome of Battle - own it and really like it; I've only used a crusader from it as a NPC villain, however. Will see more use in later campaigns.

September 2006

Faiths of Eberron - don't own it yet. (haven't seen it)
The Twilight Tomb - own it; haven't used it yet.
Dragon Magic - own it; haven't used it yet

October 2006

Expedition to Castle Ravenloft - Own it. Love it. Haven't used it yet, but will!
Complete Mage - We've had it only a couple of weeks, but, like PHB2, we're already using feats (reserve) and new spells from it. Very good book.

November 2006

Dungeon Tiles II: Arcane Corridors - haven't seen
Dragonmarked - haven't seen
Cityscape - just bought it.
Scourge of the Howling Horde - just bought it.

Cheers!

PHBII is seeig a lot of use, with a dwarven knight in the party. Also, two ex-players use the Animal Shape Druid and the Beguiler class from it.

My best friend who will be joining my D&D game next month is going to likely com in as a warlock, though wizard is a close second. He's also buying Complete Mage for this game, so plenty of use will be foreseeable in the future.

Just bought Cityscape, and have yet to read it.

Bought Fiendish Codex I like 3 months ago, but haven't gone past the introduction. It was a bit of an impluse but anyways :heh:

Bought a set of dungeontiles, which are sexy. I plan to invest in each subsequent set (with Arcane Coridoors high on my to-get list) becuase anything to enhance my games is a Good Thing (tm).

cheers,

PHB2. Excellent and decently balanced book. Mostly spells and feats right now, but one of my players wants to try a Duskblade since his PC died last session.

MM2, MM3, and the FF are always at hand as well.

Races of the Dragon is being used by one PC for the Draconic feats and he is about to take some levels in one of the prestige classes (possibly the one that Fru said).

Spell Compendium is being used by the Sorcerer and the Cleric.

I used Lords of Madness last session for the Half-Farspawn template and the revised Gibbering Mouther.

The DMG II magical locations as treasure will be used when the players find where a certain pirate's secret stash is.

The PHB II is on its way in the mail and I'm sure that it will see some use when it finally does get there.

Weapons of Legacy are in the game but the players have only just started to get to know about them and one player has unlocked the first couple of abilities.
