NFL Week 8

First Post
Wow, what a day of games. Can the Colts or the Chiefs really continue winning with no defense? Can the Texans and the Chargers make the playoffs? And the giant killing Steelers are looking ready for the battle of the Keystone State next week against the Eagles.

I was supriused to see the Patriots lose in such a manner; it seems they just fell apart. Of course the injuries hurt a lot but the turnovers is very un Patriot like. 21 game winning streak though is amazing and I don't think we'll see that record challenged anytime soon.

I'm beginning to think the Chargers almost certainly will -- and before the season started I was sure this team would flirt with 0-16. I was sure that Marty hated Drew Brees and was actively working to destroy his career (I'm still not convinced this isn't true -- what the heck was Drew doing in the game in the fourth quarter of a blowout?). Still, unless the Chargers win the Super Bowl, I've got to think Brees is gone at the end of the year -- they can't pay both Brees and Rivers, and Rivers already has a contract. Unfortunately, he's playing too well for my dream "Brees to Green Bay" scenario to play out unless Favre calls it a career.

Brees is defiantly auditioning for a new team next year. After watching him destroying teams in the Big Ten for so long it is nice to see him finally have success in the pros.

Well when you take away 100 rushing yards, what do you expect to happen? Enjoy it Steelers. The Pats won't lose when it counts (i.e. playoffs).

I expect the Pats to play like they did before aquiring him. They did managge to win the Super Bowl just last year without him. And this game does count for a lot, like home field advantage.

The Texans making the playoffs, a thought undreamed of. But after beating the Jaguars in good fashion, it might happen. With the Colts losing (over a 1000 yards of offense combined in one game, what is this world coming too) and the Titans winning, that division is really starting to look like the best in the league.

Of course I'm a fan of the Cowboys, its now time for a plug for the Cowboys. They won, I can't believe it they won.

Well they did at least have Antowain (sp?) Smith. They had 4 yards rushing yesterday. 4 yards!! Plus, Ty Law went out early in the game as well.

I still can't believe what my Falcons did to the Broncos. Way to rebound from that humiliating loss to KC. Atlanta is now sitting at 6-2 and in control of the NFC South (which, this year, isn't a great accomplishment). But baring a collapse, they should be headed for another early playoff loss. :)

What a day. The Colts my Colts were looking to have a magic season this year. Now we are just hoping to make it into the playoffs. But what can you blame it on, certainly not the offense, did anyone see Mannings numbers. The local paper said something about running Edge more in the second half? Why Manning scored almost everytime he touched the ball.

Is it Dungy and the rest of the staff. No Dungy is one of the most respected coaches in the league.

Is it the Defense yes and no. The Defense is playing the best that they can.

Nope it's the personell and you is in charge of that. The owner Bill Polian. We didn't acquire a single free agent. I am not trying to be mean, the Colts have collectively told the press that they win and loose as a team. C'mon. You shop at a K-Mart then you get what you pay for. (No offense to those who do, hell I do) OK this wasn't supposed to be a rant.

The Steelers gee they played good. But don't expect the Pats to lose to much more. They are just as hungry as ever for another championship. Maybe they took Pittsburgh for granted. I don't know.

Chargers playing good. Nice to see a fellow Alum rip it up. And the homecoming will be nice, even though I hope we beat the chargers.

Can't think anymore gonna be sick thinking about the colt's
