NG/JG--Wilderlands release schedule?

I went back and forth on how to organize it. I did it both ways.

But I came to this conclusion--I wanted the book to be usable to the DM in the easiest possible way. Since we were expanding the info so much, all the text for a map will be approximately 30 pages. That is too much to group into subcategories. If I did, the DM would have to flip back and forth to find things one hex away from each other. So I decided to do it in order of hex number without dividing into groups.

BUT I agree there is utility to grouping. So at the beginning of each map chapter (and/or compiled in the back of the book), will be a map list with each map having the names of the cities, islands, lairs, citadels broken out. That is only one page of material for each map so that is easier to group together.

That was a design issue I struggled with and went back and forth on. I think I came up with the best way to do it.

Um

The Caverns of Thracia, an expansion and re-imagining of the classic JG module is set for December. This is a classic module by Paul Jaquays that has been expanded by Patrick Lawinger and it really is great.

Clark meant to say that Jim Collura expanded it. I (Jim Collura) also wrote Wilderland Adventures.

:)

Yeah, Jim Collura did Caverns of Thracia. I was the one working on CSIO (City State of the Invincible Overlord).

Poor Clark has so much material dumped on his desk right now we just hope he remembers his own name when it is all done.

Clark has posted some more information on some of the design decisions that were made (or are being made) on some of the JG material on the Necromancer Games forums. Come by the website for more information about the different products and what is going to go into them.

Yeah, uh, Pa.....Jim...Pat...PaJ...Bill...Tom...Steve.....ahhhhhhh!!!!

Pat is right. I have posted some of my "design journals" over on our site talking about some of the interesting issues with revamping an old campaign setting.

The Player's Guide to the Wilderlands is heading to press monday and is looking fantastic. I will be posting some extended teasers soon.

Seriously, this is THE fantasy setting.

Clark

Yeah but you have to admit, mighty Undying one, Scarred Lands is a great fantasy setting too. ;) Btw I can't wait for City of Brass. ;)

Scarred Lands is great. But Scarred Lands doesnt really speak to the "old school" gamer who wishes that WotC had lived up to its promise to bring back the Greyhawk setting. Wilderlands has all that feel without all the baggage that goes along with GH.
