NG vs. N: Neutral Good Victorious!

(This move based on the assumption the spider is considered 20x20x20 in size)

(MEA from 60N10E50Z to 110N10E75Z)

Potential time compress: The dragon will stay at +75Z, circling the outside edges of the arena, swooping in to +50Z to breathe a sonic attack on the spider on 466. If the spider makes a jump or range attack (like web) that seems to threaten that high, we'll have to pull out of time compression, but until then compress away.

Round 466

The spider throws a web at the dragon as the dragon gets close enough to breathe, hitting (rolled 24-12=12 ranged touch). The dragon is entangled, so can move at only half speed.

It breathes at the spider, which expertly dodges (natural 20 Ref save), taking 13 points of sonic damage. It has 91 HP remaining. The dragon can breathe again next round.

(Okay, let's say that happened with the dragon directly overhead then, just for ease of placement.)

The dragon breathes again and flies away on the level, needing every bit of speed to stay in the air.

(Std: breathe sonics again, MEA: from 50N60E50Z to 10N100E50Z in a big curve)

(OOC: My interpretation of the dragon's stall speed (1/2 max) is that he can't burn any forward to rise in altitude, since that would then put him below the minimum movement... sound good?)

OOC: I think he should be able to go up, but each square moved up would count for 4 squares instead of 2 squares.

Round 468

The spider flees the arena after being breathed on again. The dragon can breathe again in round 469.

A juvenile battle dragon-sized boulder walks into the arena on its two stumpy legs. It also has two stumpy arms, and carved into the top of it are deep-set eyes and a mouth. It ponderously moves over to 0N100E, then burrows into the earth.

That's what I thought, too, when similar things happened to other dragons I ran. Basically, if the dragon needed to turn, rise, or wingover, he'd need to spend a full round moving and position himself for a breath weapon or other standard action. This was the key point for my previous question as to whether dragons know when their breath will recharge (and it was clarified that they do not, per the Draconomicon).

The dragon attempts to break free of the web while crossing to the opposite corner of the arena.

(If he's going to stay underground, then draw I suppose)

The not-knowing-recharge is very interesting, and not something I knew. I'd be up for the GM's withholding that info in the future then.

(He is thinking that if you are going to stay in the air, it will be a draw. As neither of you will compromise and stand on the ground, it will be a draw.)

In round 2, maybe we will withhold that information until just before the round it can be used.

A draw is declared at the end of round 472.

Round 473

A large, breastplate clad humanoid with a hornless, rhinocerous-like head enters the arena. Actually, it is not hornless, however, its horn juts from its chin, and appears to made out of crystal. It has two small crystalline tusks. Its hide is gray, with crystals protruding from the top of its head, its shoulders, knuckles, and knees. It is holding a longbow, with a warhammer and a heavy steel shield at its side. It stomps over to 60N100E, ready for its opponent.

Its opponent for Neutral Good will be announced by Gansk.

Next for NG is a movanic deva. (FF)

It knows about Geography, History, and Arcana, which means it knows nothing about its opponent.

A beautiful pale skinned humanoid with white feathered wings, comes in to the arena. Simple white garments flow from her form as if stirred by a celestial wind. She is the opposite of her opponent in so many ways, at least to the naked eye - slender where he is thick, vulnerable where he is armored, light of foot where he is heavy. A brilliant aura surrounds her. She hefts a flaming greatsword that seems out of place with her slender-appearing frame.

(Free: Protective Aura, MEA: to 60N30E+30Z, Std: SLA: Protection from Arrows)
