Night Below Ideas

Talk about coincidence...

If I ran a weekly game, 5-6 hours per session, how long would it take to complete the whole campaign?

using the conversion already posted it took my party approx 5mo to complete book1, and now they are 1/2 done with book 2 after 3 months. My PC's made stops to buy magical items and treasure at different locals and did pit stop adventures to earn loot so YMMV.

Book2 has the huge city of the glass pool and the derro fights which will soak up allot of time in themselves. If you follow some of the above examples and take out a few of the monsters you will go allot faster throughout the adventure. It's worth it. There comes a time when you just say "No more fighting" and move on.

Total length of time to complete this module would be about 1yr-1.5yr in real time. IN game terms about 2 yrs. Expect to devote a good chunk of a year or so to this module..

In 3e, PCs probably will advance fast enough to allow for some removal of XP sources while keeping levels the same.

i concur. Expect the PC's to gain on AVG anywhere from 3-4k per night. I had my PC's advancing a level every week, then every other week, and now it's every 3-4 weeks.

This is avg as the encounters taken literally are almost 3-5 CR's higher than the avg party level. The first encounter alone is a CR4 and they are only 1st level!
