Nightcrawler Cast

For those fans of the upcoming X-Men 2 movie, the character of Nightcrawler has ben cast and will be played by Alan Cumming as stated in the following article:

Looks like they're also introducing Pyro. It's too bad we won't see anymore new X-men other than Nightcrawler. I want my Archangel!

I was really surprised they are doing Nightcrawler, I didn't think he was that populiar. Personally he's my favortite X-Man of all time. Not too much on power, but great on character. I also hope we see more of Shadowcat in this one.

Ya, Kitty Pride formally known as Sprite. I dodn't know when the name changed happened in the comics, I've not seen that issue or any issue that refered to it.

She took quite some time at first deciding on a codename and a costume - she also used the name Ariel for a while. I think she settled down a bit after being brought to Japan, kidnapped, and getting some ninja-training by Ogun (Wolverine was also involved somehow, but it's been a while since I read that comic).

Are you sure? Because I heard the name Ethan Embry being connected to the Nightcrawler role.

This happened in the Kitty Pride and Woverine miniseries. Ogun was Wolverine's trainer and for some reason was trying to use Kitty against him.

I concur that Nightcrawler is an odd choice. We got glimpses of both Shadowcat and Iceman in the first movie so I would've expected one of them. Other choices I would have put ahead of Nightcrawler are: Beast, Angel, Gambit, Colossus. Other than that, Nightcrawler is a fine choice.

I suppose Pyro is a decent choice for a new villain (although I've always liked Juggernaut). Since he's in, can Avalanche and Blob be far behind? Although, now that I think about it, that might be getting too many characters to keep track of for those who aren't X-Men comic book afficionados.
