Nightwing: transform?

Under the nightwing description in the Monster Manual, the bite attack is listed as having a "Transform" quality, but I am unable to dig up the description of what this does. Can someone help me out?

This has come up before; if you want, go look in the monster discussion forum. I think if you sort by name and go back to the beginning you'll find it. We converted the ability (it's an old Mystara monster).

You can't search, but you can sort the threads to find things. At the bottom of the page when you look at the list of all the threads, it says something like "Showing threads 1 to 32 of 32, sorted by _"... you can change that 'sorted by' to hunt things down. So I sorted by thread title since the beginning and made and educated guess as to the title (I looked under nightwing) in the General Monster Discussion forum...
