D&D 5E Nitpicking Attunement

The description for failing being charmed by the orb of dragonkind says "While you are charmed by the orb, you can't voluntarily end your attunement to it". This brings up an interesting question, how does one unattune from an item?

- Items can be attuned by another person, ending the current attunement.
- restoration or curse removal spells can potentially free the player of the influence.
- this specific item will stop influencing the player if it breaks.

But is there a way for others to force a player to unattune from an item? Have an intervention or something where they separate the player from the item or whatnot? Or is there any other way in general for a player to be free of an item either of their own accord or by the deeds of others?

A creature’s attunement to an item ends if the creature no longer satisfies the Prerequisites for attunement, if the item has been more than 100 feet away for at least 24 hours, if the creature dies, or if another creature attunes to the item. A creature can also voluntarily end attunement by spending another Short Rest focused on the item, unless the item is cursed.
There are no other answers to be had than what's in the DMG.

Take/steal the item and keep it away from the person for 24 hours, and attunement breaks.

Or, since this is D&D, kill the person, and raise her back from the dead.
