No Edit or Reply buttons

My forum won't display any Edit or Reply buttons, denying me these functions. This happened after a system and Firefox reinstall at my end, so its quite likely to be a local problem, but I just cannot figure it out.

The only thing I can think of is that you're not logged in at the time.

Hey, try a different browser and see if the problem persists.

I've accidentally told Firefox to block graphics from some forum or other before, which resulted in a similar problem. Trying it on purpose now, this will make the Edit, Quote, Multiquote, and Quick Reply buttons disappear; only Fork to New Thread remains, plus the New Reply button on top/bottom of the page. (Telling Firefox not to load graphics at all, anywhere, will replace the buttons with links; telling it to load graphics but making EN World an exception to that rule will result in no buttons and no substitutes.)

So I'd check the settings for anything that might block graphics.

Phew, this did it. Seems I was blocking images specifically from enworld. Wierd.

It's easy to do by accident. All you have to is right-click at the wrong time, then press the wrong key/click on the wrong option. (E.g., right-click an image so you can save it to your harddisk, but then press the key for 'block all images from this site' instead of 'save this image.')
