I've often seen the "no gaming better than bad gaming" phrase lauded.

I think the most important corollary is: "Fear of bad gaming should not keep you away from gaming."

Going back to a group that you know sucks? Turning down the invitation from catpiss man? Sure. Those are good ideas.

Turning down an invitation to game or holding back on inviting someone to join your game because you don't have an ironclad guarantee that it will be idyllic? Life's too short to live in fear.
