Can you explain to a non-viewer what's so sci-fiy about it? Mind you about all I know is there was a plane crash and a bunch of people got stuck on an island.

I don't think I'd call it S/F, but there are definitely some elements that could be viewed as supernatural. One of the characters has a son who seems to have powers of some kind, although the kid himself doesn't seem to realize it. Another character came into possession of some numbers which were apparently cursed, and then we (the audience) learned that the numbers were on the side of a mysterious capsule on the island. Another character was able to walk after the plane crash when before he was paralyzed and in a wheelchair, and another character (who was transporting his father's corpse back to the States for a funeral) saw him up and walking around on the beach.

Oh, and then there's the invisible T-Rex which eats people, and which may or may not be a robot or something. That's kinda S/F.

The Ghost Whisperer is another version of "Medium" on NBC! I thought Fathom was on Scifi Channel?

Meh. I guess I'm peculiar about a certain theme of sci-fi that is not listed. Now that Star Trek and Andromeda are gone, only Stargate can give me the kind of fix that is common among the three aforementioned shows. But that's only one medicine.

... okay, I did not expect that sort of thing. All I see in the previews are a bunch of people stranded on an island, something I'm not interested in. If they had at least hinted at the sorts of things you describe, I'd have given it a chance.
