D&D 3E/3.5 No ideas for character

@Mathlamort first, welcome to the site. Not exactly sure what you are asking with the 169 k PO part, but many people here like to build great characters that do tons of damage. You also need to say what edition you are looking for since you are in the general threads and not 5e or 5e 2024 edition.

You could straight fighter with champion subclass. It is the 'easiest' with 3 attacks and crits on 19-20. Give him platemail armor shield and +1 sword and he should be able to hit ok and be a better defender from being hit. Others will say how to do lots of damage better than me though.

If you want various baselines for potential characters with different classes and such... there are D&D 3.5 statblock auto-generators you can use to create characters at a foundational level (which you could then tweak with equipment and such.) For instance Myth-Weavers Lethe will create characters for you at various levels for various species and classes.

Hi,
I am new to this forum as please forgice me for any mistake.
I try to build a fighter lvl12 with 169 k PO, but I have no idea about the caracter.
She must do a lot of damage to have a place in the party
If you can help me.
To be clear, when you say you have no idea about the character, are you looking for help with the mechanical build or ideas about backstory/personality/etc.?

Straight up 12 levels of Warblade from Bo9S. 3.5 fighter is good for 2 or 4 level dip ( 4 levels for specialization). After that, you take another better class.

169k PO? You mean 169k gold for items and such?

We can help you more the more you tell us.

Do you know anything about the rest of the party?
Are there any restrictions on what books you’re allowed to use?
What race?

The party is made of a wizard, a ranger skilled with archery, a warlock and a healer very good at his work.
Yes the 169k PO is for the stuff, items and such.
No restriction with book, dragon magazine and so on.
I think about a fighter with a LA+2, +1 as a half minotaur and +1 lolth touched.
What do you think about a build to maximaze damage.

Don't waste levels with level adjusted races. Or, if you are going melee route and want to max damage, take Bugbear. LA1, +4 str +2con +2dex -2cha, +3 nat armor. Then 11 levels of Warblade. Bugbear also gets some racial levels, that are nice.

Other option is 2 levels of fighter and 10 lv of cleric. You are gunning for 5th level spell Righteus Might. Size increase ( weapon changes size with you), bonus to str con and nat armor.

In 3.5, you are going for bonuses to damage, not damage from weapon itself. You want you strength as high as possible, 2 handed weapon for 1.5x str on damage, +x enchantment on weapon, weapon focus feat, power attack (bonus damage is doubled for 2 handed weapons). Next, pick either weapon with high crit range or weapon with big crit multiplier. High crit range, you put keen enchantment on it to double it, like Falchion, which is 18-20, keen makes it 15-20. Other option, take Greataxe for x3 or my favourite, Scythe with x4.

For items, standard stuff. +x weapon, belt of giant strenght, +x armor, ring of protection. Remember, you are going up front and need some defense also, so don't skip on those.

Personally, i would go with option 1 and just take warblade and be done with it. Put some points into Inteligence ( you get int to damage vs flat footed or flanked oponents). Also, as a Warblade, you can take Weapon specialization feat.

Bugbear is ECL4, +1 LA and 3HD, that won't fit.
