Orbril the gnome is an Alchemist
in his various manifestations he has used the classes Scorcerer, Druid, and Rogue (or combinations thereof) but regardless he is an Alchemist and introduces himself as such
Orbril was also head of the Grand Circus Maximus - a travelling circus troop of which the PCs were all members, ironically not one of the PCs was a bard (that honour went to NPC Hortence the Singing Rock). We had Mendoza La Tigre the Knifethrower (Rogue/Fighter), Sharlyn the Griffon-tamer (Druid/Rogue), Tobias the Ogre (Barbarian and not really an Ogre) and Ms Halkum, Personal Secretary to Master Orbril (a Scorcerer)
I also tend to refer to all Arcane Spellcasters as 'Mage' (whether Wizard of Scorcerer or even Bard), I refer to Bards as Minstrel and will address an armoured cleric as 'Goodly Warrior' and an unarmoured Cleric as 'Priest'
- in other words class names are irrelvant
