Don't know where you came up with this assumption. I was referring to getting NPC spellcasting. It would be ridiculous to tell a player that their wizard can't cast spells until 3rd level

Spoiler: IF You Plan On Playing the "Fouled Stream" Adventure in the 2024 DMG - Dont Read

I ran this last night for the 2 above mentioned PCs, they got whupped up by the berserk bear and, then a TPK by the Twig Blights I gave them a mulligan because I dont see withered sticks eating flesh so I gave them death saves which they made and they woke up a few hours later with 1 hp each. Anyone else run this adventure, what were the results?
