No X-Mas WoTC RPG Books?

Is it just me or is WoTC end of year release schedule look pretty stupid?

This month (Oct), we've got Book of Exalted Deeds, Miniatures Handbook, and Underdark. All 192 page hardcovers that are what, $29.95-$34.95?

Next mont (Nov), we've got Copmlete Warrrior (at 160, it better not be the same price at the 192 page books), Draconomicon, 288 page book.

December, Christimas Time, we've got novels. Fiction, fiction, fiction. Maybe I'm just crazy, but why not release Dragoneye in December instead of January for the season?

The Xmas season, as far as retailers are concerned, begins in November. To maximize holiday sales, you thus want to have your big releases out in November if you can. WotC has a a big book on dragons and a big book for fighters in November, both good choices. Those are their Xmas releases.

Yes, the Friday after Thanksgiving...a BIG, BIG, BIG shopping day.

(used to work the "Black Friday" in retail)

I've worked at Best Buy part time (got a nice HDTV Ready set from the deal) and understand that the weekend after Thankgiving is the biggest in the year. (Sorry X-mas). However, that's five hardcovers in two months. That's goes way against the grain of what they've done in the past, with the exception of the core release books.
