Non-breaking spaces...

Hey folks. It seems that using &nbsp no longer creates a non-breaking space. Does this have to be accomplished another way now?

Testing...
This should be enough spaces to go off the page.
Start
(removed 20 inches of blank spaces :))
End.

*edit: It worked for me.

Don't forget the semicolon at the end.

Oh. I see why. HTML code is off in House Rules. Suckage. But that's weird. Wasn't HTML code off in the old House Rules thread too? It worked there.

Hey Morrus,

I noticed that on the 2.3.0 version of vBulletin, non-breaking spaces using "&nbsp" can be enabled even with HTML code disabled. Is there any way we can get this working? The indent function seems like the alternative at first glance...
but believe me when I say
it's not. :)

What are non-breaking spaces? I'm afraid I'm a bit too thick! :)

Non breaking spaces allow you to break up your paragraphs real nicely, like this...

Brilliant Energy Spell [Metamagic] Custom
You can charge spells with energy designed to ignore nonliving matter and affect only living matter.
Benefit: A brilliant energy spell ignores nonliving matter. Armor bonuses to AC (including any enhancement bonuses to that armor) do not count against it because the spell passes through armor. (Dexterity, deflection, dodge, natural armor, and other such bonuses still apply.) Area effect spells continue beyond any nonliving barriers, such as stone walls and wooden floors. Nonliving matter does not block line of effect in any way.
For example, a brilliant energy fireball will spread completely through and beyond a stone wall, but a large mass of living matter, such as a gelatinous cube, will affect the spread as normal, possibly blocking line of effect.
A brilliant energy spell cannot harm undead, constructs, or objects. A brilliant energy spell uses a spell slot one level higher than the spell’s actual level.
Special: A spell affected by this feat cannot also be affected by the gray energy spell metamagic feat.

See? On the 2.3 boards, you can use non-breaking spaces to indent a new paragraph, as above, by using something like this...

&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp

...but on these new boards, you have to put a semi-colon ";" after each "p", which is html code.

Oh, right. Well, the easiest option is to ensure HTML is on in all forums - it isn't off deliberately. I'll do it later today.
