Okay Glyfair - I will keep watching and lurking. I really don't have MUCH of an opinion on all this anyway. ;) But it will be interesting to see what comes about.

Post on!

Ninja again. If I want to play an oriental setting, there's oriental classes in Oriental Adventures. Although I'd actually play Legend of the Five Rings instead.

In an incredibly close fight, the Ninja and Soulknife are leaving us. Will the Favored Soul survive yet another round?
Damn it--now they're going to vote off one of the two Psionics classes that definitely deserve to stay for a few rounds yet. So close

With the wings, it's silly. Take away the wings, and it's boring. YMMV.

It has more flavor, and more varied abilities, than Wizards, Clerics, and Sorcerors. I mean, how much flavor does a class have to have for you to think it is not boring?

The problem with flavor is that if someone disagrees with the flavor then the class is "not good."

Look at the oriental classes. I've been pointing out that you can change the flavor and make it a "western" class. Eberron fits them in reasonable well in the Player's Guide for those who want to use them. However, a group of people just don't like the flavor, so bye-bye (of course, the Samurai was going regardless).

And people wonder why the core rules seem to have reduced the flavor to a low simmer.
