At present it looks like the Duskblade, Scout and Warlock will be among the final contestants - with one of the following among them: Archivist, Beguiler, or Psychic Warrior.
These six have consistantly scored low the entire time. Out of curiosity, how many think that the Beguiler and Duskblade are scoring low mainly due to lack of play? They are relatively recent compared to many others (some of which have long been loathed or liked) and possibly those not voting for them are simply not voting because they have not yet formed an opinion.
This is also interesting for what it shows regarding popular classes. These six are either a mix of class concepts (Archivist, Beguiler, Duskblade, Psychic Warrior), or unusual but popular class concepts (Scout, Warlock). Indeed, I find it also interesting that many of the classes that have been toted by some fans as 'Sorcerer' replacements for distinct schools of magic (Beguiler, Dread Necromancer, Warmage) or in the sense of a new casting style (Binder, Psion, Warlock) are remarkably popular. The only class remaining that as yet is unmentioned is the Knight - which likely falls in with the Scout and Warlock as an unusual but popular class concept.
Interesting, very interesting. I look forward to rounds 10+. Will they continue the pattern of dropping two per voting, or will it limit itself to one drop per vote once the list numbers 10 and less (ie: starting with the next poll)?
