Non Core in Dungeon?

Would you stop buying Dungeon if they tried a 1 AP, 1 core and 1 non-core model?

Takasi,

Despite your continued efforts to encite the need more stuff for FR and Eberron, both of which have plenty of fluff and crunch without Dungeon adding more, I feel this is a poorly veiled attempt on your part to convince the Dungeon staff to fulfill your ideal Dungeon mix.

I did vote No to this poll, but not because of the added value of 1 FR/Eberron module, but the fact that the inclusion of such would not be of enough of a negative value to not continue to buy the magazine.

A better question would be "Would you buy more issues of Dungeon than you currently do if they were to adopt a 1 AP, 1 Core and 1 non-core model?"

Thx and now please just go away with this whole deal. The publishers have told you time and again, both here at on other forums, that they won't provide YOU with more FR or Eberron modules, so quick kicking a dead mule.

Might I suggest you solicit said materials from these boards and then perhaps offer your services to host said materials.........

You're just irate cause there's been no FR. Just admit Tak.

Psion,

Agreed, they should have advertised the Ethergaunts. That would had improved me buying it way more. Not that I'm disinclined but just might heighten the need. ;)

IMO, this is A Bad Thing (tm). I don't want Dungeon to assume I have a product that I haven't purchased. It's easy enough for me to add the non-core material that I own to a core adventure ... but to have to figure out what material is non-core that I don't own, strip it out, and then replace it -- well, I shouldn't have to do that.

I think Paizo's policy is fine as is. If they want to add a sidebar suggesting the use of some non-core material that's fine, but otherwise, don't include it unless they also include the mechanics -- and we shouldn't be trading significant adventure space for mechanics.

Okay...call me stupid but what do you mean by AP?

I second this question.

Though admittedly the only Dungeons I bought were the Polyhedron one's with the mini-settings.

Adventures just don't interest me that much.

AP = Adventure Path.

So one AP in every issue means one installment of the current adventure path in each issue. :D

My answer to the question you asked is "no, I would not stop buying Dungeon".

My answer to the question you didn't ask, however, is "I prefer things the way they are now."

Much like you, I voted No but agree that your question is arguably the more pertinent one. If it ain't broke, don't fix it, and all that. :>

To be fair, though, there are FR and Eberron adventures pretty frequently in Dragon, aren't there? With an AP every month and at least one adventure always generic we're pretty much already there. This wouldn't be a huge departure from the norm if it were a codified rule,a nd even then takasi puts forwards that this would be something that might not b e met every week. (For one thing, there isn't an AP in every issue - what was it, four months between Age of Worms and Savage Tide?)

I'd argue we already have the situation described in the poll, more or less, so the people who say they would stop buying Dungeon in this case somewhat confuse me. :>
