Has anyone found in any D20 supplements or any other RPG books a decent system for determining wounds dealt to individual body parts? And I mean something a little more specific than the DMG rules which simply apply cumulative penalties to that body part.<br><p>
I am trying to create my own game system with more detailed combat sequences and a swashbuckling feel that is more than just the blow for blow style of DnD combat. I have considered just allowing characters who hit (which is much more difficult in this than in DnD) to just be allowed to strike wherever they wish, but then every combat will begin and end with the chopping off of the enemy's hands (and what would prevent them from simply lopping off heads?). If anyone has any ideas or if you have any suggested reading material with a good system for attacking limbs and bodyparts it would be greatly apreciated.
