Non-epic players can't make artifacts huh? Yeah right!

Check this out. WotC have posted an article (found the link in news) about undead. You can find it here. What I find so interesting about it though, is the ring of greater unholy aura. It's over 200,000gp, most certainly artifact level, yet it only requires the Forge Ring feat to make. Now that puts a smile on my face. Now I don't feel so bad about the uber-powerful items I've made (as if I felt bad in the first place). :D

Those crazy flying ships in Magic of Faerun are a wee bit expensive, too (half a million gp or something). :p
Of course, Forgotten Realms does have a slight tendency towards high magic... ;)

I don't know...that ring doesn't seem very artifact level to me...it puts its wearer under a continuous Unholy Aura spell, big deal.

It does cost a lot to make, but how does that insinuate that its artifact level? Please bear in mind that I don't have my Epic Level Handbook here with me.

I think he meant "epic item" rather than artifact...

Well, things posted on the Wizards Site are not going to support the ELH. So, anything they post there will be core rules only.

Except for the ELH support stuff, of course. :p

But seriously, that's a good point, actually...

What ELH support stuff? :D

It would be great if they supported their stuff just a little.

Well there's the Epic Faiths and Pantheons stuff that was on the front page yesterday. Epic spells, epic PrCs.

Well, there's the Epic Level Handbook web enhancement, which has around two dozen prestige classes from other books taken to epic levels. There's also the Epic Insights feature, where every month they take some PrCs from a different sourcebook and give them epic write ups. Such articles have epic spells, feats, and such also sometimes.

700,000gp, for the Halruuan (?sp) Skyship.

My next Epic character will be taking a Skyship, and the Leadership feat ... I'll go Fighter(10)/Duellist(lots) and name him the Dread Pirate Roberts ... lol ...
