D&D General "Non-heroic" classes -- help me remember please!

I had a thought earlier today, more a recollection, of something called a "non-heroic" class. My first thought was it was something from SWSE, but I can't find it there. So, does anyone know anything about this idea? Maybe it was from D&D somewhere... but I can't think of where.

SWSE did have non-heroic classes. So does the 3e family of Games - they’re called NPC classes.

Ha! Found them. I could have sworn they were under a section literally called "non-hero" classes. It was driving me nuts LOL! Thanks!
