In preparing for tonight's game, I noticed something I had not seen before.
Constructs are
—Proficient with no armor.
And
Nonproficient with Armor Worn: A character who wears armor and/or uses a shield with which he or she is not proficient takes the armor’s (and/or shield’s) armor check penalty on attack rolls and on all Strength-based and Dexterity-based ability and skill checks.
Yet Maruts wear full plate, did not take the Heavy Armor Proficiency (or any of the lesser ones) and suffer no penalties to their attack rolls.
I suppose that there is supposed to be some type of special ability that lets the marut use its armor without penalty; but it is not listed.
Is there something I missed that gives armor proficiency to Maruts?
Ciao
