Non-Spellcasting Bard?

Jaws

First Post
I want to play a non-spellcasting bard. Are there any variants using 3.x rules?

Please include links if you can.

Thanks.

I forget if the bard variant in the Valus Campaign setting gives up spellcasting for their Skald warrior bard version who I think get better hp.

Monte Cook's Complete book of Eldritch Might or the pdf Book of Eldritch Might II has a variant bard with different bard magic instead of spells. www.dtrpg.com under Malhavok for the pdf.

I got but have not read through the variants in thele's Unorthodox Bards on www.rpgnow.com

I forget if any of the variants in Unearthed Arcana include a spell-less bard. I know there is a divine one in there. Worth Checking out.

I'll have to check that out.

Too much spellcasting-like for me. But if I can't find anything better, this is what I probably will use.

Let me know how these are.

No spell-less bard in there. First place I looked.

Thanks. Now to check out the Valus Campaign.

Dude, the spellless Bard is in the PHB. Look under "Rogue". They get Perform, too!

If that doesn't suit you, try talking to the GM, and see what he'll give you in return for losing spellcasting. I think I'd go for better weapons proficiencies and HPs, maybe saves.

I want all the bard class features, just not the spellcasting.

Grim Tales will let you make a "bard" without magic. But then again, is there anything Grim Tales can't do?
Can you direct me to who has done this? I don't want to do the work.

Have you looked at the Marshall class? In the Miniatures Handbook, I think.

They get a lot of little "inspire" type abilities. You could multiclass with rogue for the skill points. Would make an interesting "bard".

Hmm, now I am getting ideas. Thanks.
