Looking at your new spell list, there are a number of things I would recommend. But that's because I've been DMing for a long time, I love playing wizards/arcane spellcasters, and I find it hard to slip out of "All Sorcerer's Must Be Whirlwinds of Destruction" mode. I see numerous posts asking this same question, and folks tend to give out a fairly discrete list of spells to choose from. And from a power game perspective, I think they are mostly right. But I'd like to see some more creative sorcerers thrown together.
Anyway, may I suggest that you take a look at Ice Storm at 4th level? I've been using it extesively lately, and it has turned out to be surprisingly useful. First, the pro's:
There is NO SAVE for the spell. None.
The spell does 5d6, 2d6 is cold and 3d6 is impact. So against Fire creatures, there's no save and they take extra from the cold. Against creatures that are immune to cold, they still take 3d6 from the impact (very few things have impact resistance).
Cons: It does not increase in power as you level up. But as an empowered spel, again with no save, you can continue to get value out of it. Just a thought.
Also, from a purely metagame/powergame standpoint, Energy Substitution (Sonic) is pretty awesome. Almost no one has immunity to Sonic damage, hehe...
