There are Linnorm who carve up Shamati into fiefs so Halfling history often concerns tense negotiations, great friendships, and heroic slayings of these sometimes guardians and sometimes tyrants (the contrast between the tiny halflings and the vast linnorm is really cool to me). The northmost ones even have floating meadhalls! They favor Druids for their magic, who can help with seafaring, navigation, and sustainable island ecosystems. Notably, when the Linnorm were first summoned, the halflings who pledged to them became kobolds, others fled underground and were affected by the vents into the dream-- becoming magically infused and known as Gnomes.</blockquote>
